Matching mattresses
You can combine all medium-firm to firm mattresses with a minimum height of 15 cm with our storage bed. We would especially like to recommend our natural latex mattress, which not only convinces with its sustainability, but also promotes healthy sleep. 

Note for smooth floors
If you have a slick floor in your bedroom, we recommend placing a non-slip mat under the bed to prevent slipping.

Our GRID Family Bed consists of three single beds (size Small), which are firmly connected to each other. You can flexibly adjust the width to your needs and also divide the bed into single beds at any time. The bed is characterized by its clear, reduced design. The stable construction of base elements and slats does not require a slatted frame and ensures optimal ventilation of the mattress. Up to four large drawers can be inserted under the family bed and create easily accessible storage space for bed linen etc. You can find them here as a separate product.

Like all our cardboard furniture, the Storage Family Bed is made of high-quality heavy-duty corrugated cardboard, which - in combination with the sophisticated construction - makes it particularly durable and stable. So stable, in fact, that it can withstand up to four people with a body weight up to 100 kg each and complies with DIN EN 1725:2024-02 and DIN EN 1022:2024-04 standards. At the same time, it is more environmentally sustainable than conventional beds due to the high recycled content (54 to 84%) in the corrugated cardboard, which in turn can be fully recycled. At the end of its life cycle, it can be easily disposed of via the waste paper garbage can and returned to the material cycle. 
As an ideal complement to the sustainable bed, you will also find the matching natural latex mattress and cuddly soft organic bed linen.

What is the load capacity of the storage family bed?
The family bed is tested according to DIN standards EN 1725:2024-02 (safety requirements and test methods for beds and mattresses) and EN 1022:2024-04 (provisions of stability for furniture) and can support up to four persons of 100 kg body weight each.

How do I assemble the storage family bed?

Are the drawers included in the delivery?
No, the drawers are available separately here.

Which mattress fits my bed?

Yes, the bed size can be flexibly adapted to your needs. You can also divide the family bed into single beds or a single and double bed at any time. In the instructions you can see how to achieve your desired size.

Do I need a slatted frame for the bed?
No, the construction of our storage bed does not require an additional slatted frame at all. The inserted slats function as a rigid slatted frame and ensure optimal ventilation of the mattress. By the way: Stiftung Warentest explicitly recommends rigid slatted frames for a good night's sleep.

How high is the storage family bed?
The GRID Family Bed has a height of 33 cm.

Can I also divide my family bed into single beds?
The family bed consists of three interconnected Small beds. By removing the two connectors, you can easily separate them.

• On smooth floors, secure the GRID bed with a suitable non-slip base.
• Sharp or pointed objects may cause dents or scratches.
• If visible damage occurs, check stability before further use.
• Do not use near open flames or heat sources (e.g. heaters, stoves).
• Do not smoke on or near the GRID bed.

Contact with liquids:
• Do not place the GRID bed in rooms with constantly high humidity.
• If it comes into contact with water, wipe it dry and allow it to dry completely before use.
• Contact with liquids may reduce stability.

Cleaning instructions:
• Use only dry or slightly damp soft cotton cloths.
• Do not use cleaning agents.

Please note:
• Paper edges may be sharp due to the manufacturing process.
• Run a blunt object over exposed edges to reduce risk of injury.
• We use water-based inks which may result in slight color transfer.
• To avoid marks on your mattress, we recommend using a mattress protector.

Storage instructions:
• The GRID bed can be disassembled and stored flat in its packaging.
• Store it in a dry place protected from weather influences.
• The expected service life of the GRID bed is approximately 10 years.
