Family bed
You can connect as many small beds as you like. Three beds of the size small make a family bed, which you can build up in the widths 240 cm, 270 cm or 300 cm. You can also find the family bed here as a separate product.

Load capacity
The GRID bed in size S supports one person, from size M two and as a family bed up to four people of 100 kg body weight each.

Conversion

All medium to firm mattresses with a minimum height of 15 cm can be combined with our storage bed. We would especially like to recommend our natural latex mattress, as it is not only sustainable, but also promotes healthy sleep.

Note for smooth floors
For slippery floors, a anti-slip mat under the bed will help prevent slipping.

Our GRID Bed is characterized by its clear and reduced design. Only two different types of components can be quickly assembled into the basic version of the storage bed. For this purpose, simple folded slats are connected to the base elements by an ingenious plug-in mechanism to form a stable bed construction that does not require a slatted frame at all. The width of the bed can be changed variably and adapted easily to your needs. Thus, the single bed quickly becomes a family bed, which you can also get here as a separate product. Since the storage bed does not have a closed surface, the mattress rests only on the slats, which ensures constant air circulation. 
If you want to optimally use the space under the bed, our drawers offer you the best possibility to create easily accessible storage space, e.g. for bed linen. Depending on your needs, up to four large drawers can be stored under the bed.

The high quality of our heavy-duty cardboard in combination with the sophisticated construction ensures a high degree of stability and durability. The bed has been tested in accordance with the standards DIN EN 1725:2024-02 and DIN EN 1022:2024-04. Due to its high recycled content (54 to 80%), corrugated cardboard is an ecologically particularly sustainable material that can be fully recycled via the waste paper garbage can. The individual paper webs are bonded together with natural adhesives made from corn starch and finished with solvent-free inks for our black version.

What are the differences between the GRID bed and Bed 2.0?
The Bed 2.0 and the GRID bed have their own advantages and distinguishing features. The Bed 2.0 stands out for its quick assembly, usually completed within a few seconds depending on the desired size. It comes pre-assembled, making it easy to set up and can be quickly folded and stored in a space-saving manner when needed. Additionally, it is adjustable in both width and length and is currently available in 7 different colors.
In contrast, the GRID bed is delivered to your home in separate parts and can be assembled within a few minutes. It is adjustable in width but not in length. A notable feature of the GRID bed is the generous storage space beneath the sleeping surface, which can be efficiently utilized with the corresponding drawers. You have the choice between the colors black and natural cardboard.

How resilient is the bed?
The GRID bed supports one person in size Small, two persons from size Medium and as a family bed up to four persons of 100 kg body weight each. It is standard-tested according to DIN EN 1725:2024-02 (Safety requirements and test methods for beds and mattresses) and DIN EN 1022:2024-04 (Determination of stability for furniture).

How do I assemble the bed?
You don't need any tools to assemble and convert the storage bed. You can find step-by-step instructions in your package or online here.

What bed size do I need for my mattress?
For a mattress with a width of 80 cm, 90 cm or 100 cm you choose the bed in small. 120 cm and 140 cm wide mattresses are suitable for the medium bed, and 160 cm, 180 cm and 200 cm wide mattresses can be combined with the large bed.

Are the drawers included in the scope of delivery?
No, you get the drawers here as a separate product.

Which mattress fits my bed?

Can I change the bed size after assembly?
The size of your GRID Bed can be flexibly adjusted to your needs. For example, it can be enlarged or reduced with the help of an extension set or by connecting it to another bed. How to achieve your desired bed size, is explained in the instructions.

Do I need a slatted frame for the bed?
Our bed construction does not require any additional slatted frame. The inserted slats ensure optimal ventilation of the mattress and function like a rigid slatted frame. By the way, such a slatted frame is explicitly recommended by Stiftung Warentest.

How high is the bed?
The GRID Bed has a height of 33 cm.

Can I divide my double bed into two single beds?
The bed in the size large consists of two interconnected small beds. By removing the two connectors you can easily separate them from each other and also connect them again.

• Do not use cleaning agents.

• Paper edges may be sharp due to the manufacturing process.
• Run a blunt object over exposed edges to reduce risk of injury.
• We use water-based inks which may result in slight color transfer.
• To avoid marks on your mattress, we recommend using a mattress protector.

Storage instructions:
• The GRID bed can be disassembled and stored flat in its packaging.
• Store it in a dry place protected from weather influences.
• The expected service life of the GRID bed is approximately 10 years.
